Estimated 2-years, dependant on usage and battery quality.

If the LEDs flash amber on first activation instead of green, this indicates the battery level is low and the batteries should be replaced.

When battery power drops below minimum level HobSensus will stop operating and the hob cannot be activated until the batteries are replaced.

Yes. A fire alarm system can be connected to HobSensus via a VFC connection.

No. HobSensus does not replace a fire alarm. HobSensus only monitors the hob it is connected to and is only active when the hob is in use.

Once temperatures have reached safe levels HobSensus can be reactivated, by pressing the red button and cooking can continue.

For larger scale installations, such as multi-occupancy dwellings or student accommodation, HobSensus can be connected to the Prefect Irus central control system. Irus can monitor parameters of the unit. However, this is usage data only and is not for control of HobSensus. HobSensus must be operated locally.

The Alarm cannot be permanently disabled.
