Installation Advice

To optimise the performance of our products, it is important that they are installed correctly. Use the guides below to make sure specifications are adhered to and positioning of products is carried out for maximum effect. Instructions are provided with the device. If you have any questions, queries or require an instruction manual please don’t hesitate to contact us.

  • Remove the sensor head mounting plate by inserting the supplied key into the two slots on the left hand side of the unit.
  • Measuring to the bottom most point of the sensor head bracket, mount to the back wall behind the hob, 600mm above a 600mm hob or smaller, mount 650mm above a 900mm hob.
  • The sensor head must be central to the hob centre line. Do not mount on the cooker hood.
  • Ensure the Sensor lens has a clear line of sight of the
    entire hob.
  • Place the power supply cable through the
    mounting plate.
  • Remove the back battery rubber cover, note the cable
    entry hole that is marked with cross hairs, make a small incision and bring the power cable through.
  • Terminate the LV power cable to the sensor head
    terminals noting the polarity, incorrect polarity will
    damage the SH unit. Reinstall the rubber battery cover
    ensuring it is properly sealed.
  • Fit the sensor head to the mounting plate by locating the right hand clips first then pushing flush to the wall. Ensure the securing clips seat into place.
  • Install the PSU between the hob isolator and the hob, do not install the PSU within 300mm of any cooking appliances.
  • Mount the PSU in a flush or surface box with a 45mm or
    deeper box.
  • Ensure all conductors are correctly installed.
  • Install the conductors as per the wiring diagram on the
    reverse of this box.
  • Complete circuit safety tests and inspection before
    powering up the unit.
  • Press red button on SH and check PSU becomes active
    (red LED on steady).

    landscape orientation. PRE9276PSU requires a 45mm or deeper surface or flush box. When mounting into a flush wall box or metal clad box remove any unused lugs of the box.
